Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

1. Privacy-First Philosophy

At A11yEngine, we treat privacy as a product requirement, not a marketing afterthought. We do not sell personal information, run advertising trackers on this site, or use this website to profile your browsing behavior across other services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you choose to submit through this website, as well as optional, anonymized telemetry depending on your privacy preferences.

Form Submissions: Waitlist submissions collect your email address so we can notify you about product availability and launch updates. Contact submissions collect your name, work email, optional company name, and your message so we can respond to your inquiry or partnership discussion.

Acquisition Parameters (UTM Tags): When you visit our website from a campaign link (e.g., from Reddit, LinkedIn, or developer documentation), our site stores non-personally identifiable referral metrics (utm_source, utm_campaign, and referrer URL) in your browser's storage to understand which channels drive developer awareness.

Telemetry & Analytics (GA4 via GTM): If you grant explicit consent via our cookie banner, we collect anonymized website usage metrics (such as page views, button clicks, and general browser capabilities) through Google Tag Manager (`GTM`) and Google Analytics 4 (`GA4`).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use waitlist information to manage early-access demand and send product launch updates. We use contact form information to review and respond to your specific inquiries.

We use anonymous acquisition telemetry (`UTM parameters`) and opted-in analytics (`GA4 page views`) exclusively to measure product adoption, evaluate technical documentation engagement, and optimize website performance. We never use this data for cross-site behavioral profiling or ad remarketing.

4. Legal Bases For Processing

When applicable data protection laws require a legal basis, we generally process contact and waitlist data because you asked us to communicate with you, because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to product inquiries and manage early-access demand, or because we need to maintain records and protect the website from abuse.

5. Delivery, Storage, and Processors

Form submissions are sent to the A11yEngine team through our configured email delivery infrastructure. This means the content you submit may be processed by our email service provider and stored in the team inboxes that receive those submissions.

We use reasonable technical safeguards in the website and form handlers, including server-side validation, spam filtering, request size limits, and rate limiting, to reduce abuse and protect submitted data.

6. Cookies, Telemetry, and Local Storage

We use a privacy-first, dual-layer storage approach designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (`GDPR`), California Consumer Privacy Act (`CCPA`), and the European Accessibility Act (`EAA`):

Strictly NecessaryFirst-party HTTP cookies and localStorage keys (such as a11y_cookie_consent) are used to store your privacy consent decision and session preferences. These run automatically because they are strictly required for the site to function and remember your choices.
Analytics & Consent Mode v2We implement Google Consent Mode v2. When you first arrive on our website, analytics and advertising cookies (analytics_storage and ad_storage) are strictly set to denied by default before any tracking scripts load. If you click "Accept All" on our consent banner, Google Analytics 4 (`GA4`) cookies (_ga) are unblocked to record anonymized page metrics.
Campaign AttributionWe store non-PII marketing attribution keys (a11y_utm_tags) inside browser local storage to measure campaign effectiveness without invasive third-party cookies.

You have full control over your telemetry preferences. If you previously accepted or rejected non-essential telemetry, you can review or change your selection instantly by clicking the floating cookie preference toggle (🍪 Privacy) located at the bottom of any page on our website.

7. Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell your submitted information. We may share it with service providers that help us deliver website, hosting, security, or email functionality, and with professional advisors or authorities when required for legal, compliance, or security reasons.

Because our infrastructure or service providers may operate in more than one country, your information may be processed outside your home jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate contractual, operational, or legal safeguards for those transfers.

8. Retention

We keep submitted information only as long as it remains reasonably necessary for waitlist management, product communications, support follow-up, business correspondence, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the inquiry and our operational needs.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You can choose not to submit a form at any time. If you want us to update, delete, or stop using information you previously sent through this website, contact us at contactus@a11yengine.pro.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to the information we hold about you, request correction, request deletion, object to certain uses, or ask for a copy of your information. We will review and respond to applicable requests in line with relevant law.

10. Children’s Privacy

This website is intended for business, developer, and product-team audiences. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children.

11. Policy Updates

We may revise this policy as the product, website infrastructure, or legal requirements evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date shown on this page.
